\n☁️ The weather!
\n🪵🔥 The Canadians were shipping the smoke from their wildfires down here. The Air Quality Index (AQI) normally maxes out at 500 for most places that show it but it doesn’t really have a max as it’s a measurement of particles in the air. We hit 919 here on one of the permanent air quality monitors in the area. Most of the Chicago area was in the 600-700 range for a couple days and it was nasty. I’d rather not experience that again.
\n📝 Blogging!
\nGot “the itch” this week and posted a bunch of stuff over at the boringly-named “Notebook”. notes.jkratz.me which is hosted on Ghost by Magic Pages. I went back to that subdomain and apparently had used it before because the Fediverse account I had used was reactivated and had a bunch of posts. Good thing too because I used that to reconstruct things I had posted from the end of last year through January.

\nI finished season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery and started the spinoff Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Very happy that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds starts up again on 7/23. Best show of the new ones.
